Environmental Literacy: 13 - 17 Years
Envrionmental Literacy puzzle piece 13 - 17 years
Introduction

Typically, phyical and social environments become more complex for the adolescent and young adult as their participation and independence increases in the community. Negotiating more autonomy in the teenage years is a normal part of human development and it is important that families are able 'to let go'. This is more easily done if the young person has had opportunities throughout childhood to function independently at home, school and in the community.

This section will outline the importance of daily routines in the environments of school, home and community and their importance. Especially related to the family and the daily routines of the home.
